WHEN there's a domestic crisis, there's only one person to go to for a shoulder to cry on - and that's your mum.

Kerry McFadden, devastated by her marriage break-up with former Westlife star Brian, arrived at her mother Susan's two-bedroom terrace house in Warrington, Cheshire, yesterday without her wedding or engagement rings.

The one-time Atomic Kitten singer, who wed Brian in January 2002, put on a brave face as she drove her mum to a pre-arranged hospital appointment.

Kerry, who has moved to Warrington with her children Molly, three, and 18-month-old Lilly-Sue said: "I've no idea what is happening at the moment."

But Brian exclusively tells us: "I can confirm we are splitting. I don't want to go into the reasons because it's not fair on Kerry until we sit down and talk.

"This isn't about anyone else.

"It's nothing to do with any lapdancers. We need time apart. "
