The stars have gathered at a swanky party at the Marquee club in Leicester Square to celebrate the launch of the UK's first ever download chart on BBC Radio 1, with Westlife taking the top spot.
The Irish boys' live recording of 'Flying Without Wings' was the most legally downloaded track in the UK this week.
Goldie Lookin' Chain made No.16 with 'Guns Don't Kill People Rappers Do'. The Welsh lads had their own idea of who they'd like to see at the top of the chart:
"Rachel Stevens, cos she looks lovely and if it's on a computer you might get those pictures of a naked woman and they've put Rachel Stevens' head on top of it."
"So, if we're lucky and she's number one, we might get some of that, so big up for Rachel Stevens and naked women."
Legal downloading has grown hugely and 2 million tracks have been saved to PCs and mp3 players this year. Last year the figures were tiny.
The Shapeshifters performed at the party and Max and Simon said downloading is definitely a big part of the future:
"It's very important, there's a whole big movement going on and rightly so because it should put an end in the long term, to illegal downloading."
Green Day's 'American Idiot' came in at No.5. Billy Joe says he's got no time for people who slate downloading:
"I think that the bands that bitch about downloads are the bands that only make one good song."
"If you make an entirely good record then the kids will have to have it, so take it upon yourself to make good art and make your stuff worth a listen."
