This special live stripped down version of Flying Without Wings was recorded in May of this year at The Globe, Stockholm on the massive sell-out Turnaround Arena tour. This is a unique opportunity for you to get an end of tour souvenir. This release is important for the boys as not only will it be their first release without Bryan but it’s also only available as a download and will be included in the first ever Official Download Chart. This chart will be compiled by the Official Chart Company, the same company that compile the official Top 40 each week. Bryan McFadden has admitted he's missing his old Westlife chums. Going it alone isn't all it's cracked up to be - so much so that Bryan met up with Nicky Byrne, 25, Shane Filan, 25, Mark Feehily, 24 and Kian Egan, 24, last week for a lads' night out. A source told me: "It was just like the good old days and a great night of Irish bonding." The get-together was the first the pals have had since Bryan quit in March to spend more time with his wife Kerry, 23, and daughters, Molly and Lily-Sue. But instead of living the life of a dutiful house-hubby, bored Bry was itching to get back into the charts and started working on a solo album with Robbie Williams' ex-songwriting partner Guy Chambers. His first single, Real To Me, released on September 6, takes a blatant pop shot at Westlife but Bryan, 24, insists he's not bitter. He said: "It's me talking about what I hated in the music biz at that time. "Now I'm making the decisions it's a lot freer. The Westlife guys are my best friends. We were like a family." My source said: "Bryan knows he wouldn't be where he is now if it wasn't for the band. "It was the pressure being in one of the world's most successful boybands he disliked, not the boys. "But he's so passionate about music he found it impossible to walk away entirely. "He was really happy meeting the lads and he wishes them all the best. He misses them but he made the right choice." Bry's vocals are strong in Real To Me and I'm predicting a Top Five position. |

Back in November of last year Nicky, Kian, Shane and Mark topped the first ever industry only digital download track with no promotion or marketing. On August 23rd, they'll be going for the same spot on the official launch of the first ever singles download chart - also their first release as a 4-piece. The band are releasing a special live version of their massive Number 1 single Flying Without Wings, recorded on the Turnaround tour live from The Globe Stockholm, on May 29th earlier this year. Click the video stream links found in the news section at westlife.com The download chart will be compiled by the Official Chart Company, the same company that compile the official Top 40 each week. Fans and music buyers alike will be able to legally download Flying Without Wings from various websites (including westlife.com and all other legal download stores such as iTunes, mycokemusic.com, msnmusicclub.com, freeserve.com, hmvonlinestore.com and napster.com). Flying Without Wings shot straight to the number one spot in October 1999 and has remained a firm favourite with fans ever since. Patricia Egan, mum of Westlife star Kian, has rubbished reports that her son is engaged to his girlfriend, Hollyoaks actress, Jodi Albert. "He is not engaged and I should know," said Patricia yesterday (Monday) when contacted at her home on the Strandhill Road. The rumours surfaced after a report in a national newspaper said they had got engaged last month. (Read More ...) |
