17 Aug 2004 >> Brian applies to rejoin Westlife |
He's only just left to go solo, but Brian McFadden has already reapplied to join Westlife. The Irish boyband are holding auditions to find someone to become the fifth voice on their new album and Brian thought it would be hilarious if he put his name down. According to The Sun, while on Manchester's Key 103FM radio, he rang the audition hotline and cunningly left his details as "Brian McFadden, 24, from Dublin" before singing Mandy - a song Westlife covered when he was in the band. What a joker. Source: ic Network |

13 Aug, 2004 << Kian's column in Sunday World |
Kian's Column in Sunday World, Sunday August 8, 2004 HI, Kian here. I HAD a good laugh last Sunday when my family rang me to say that another Irish newspaper had a front page story claiming that Jodi and myself are now engaged. As the story was read out to me over the phone I couldn't believe that the reporter on that paper would just make up a story like that. I've said it here in the Sunday World many times - yes, Jodi is the one for me, but we both agree that we're too young to tie the knot just yet. We both have busy careers and we want the time to be right before we take that big step. Of course, we know it won't stop people speculating about us getting engaged or married - just like that ridiculous piece of fiction last week. All we can do is laugh. We don't get too bothered about it. It's a busy time here in the Westlife camp again as we get to work on our album, which we'll be releasing before Christmas. It's a special album and we're excited by it as it's great to do something different. Don't forget, we're still looking for a girl fan to appear on the album with us. The winner will also join us on a huge ITV Westlife special on December 18. Shane, Nicky, Mark and myself will be personally auditioning Irish fans at Dublin's Red Box venue on August 22. Here's the number to ring and best of luck: 09059988888 |
