The Children in Need annual telethon has raised over ?7m so far, and looks set to be one of the most successful in the event's history.

Loads of celebs including Girls Aloud, Westlife, Kylie and Natasha Bedingfield took part in the event which helps raise cash for disadvantaged children.

The cast of Coronation Street also put in an appearance and performed a spoof of the musical Oliver!

Organisers hope this year's appeal will top last year's total of ?0 million.

But they'll have to wait a few more weeks to know the grand total as it can take weeks for donations to flood in.

People all over the country took part in events to raise money.

One radio DJ broke the world record for the longest on-air marathon, more than 100 hours.

Other people raised cash by taking part in sponsored car washes and cake sales. And in Scotland, a brave group of swimmers swam with sharks for the Pudsey appeal.
