Sligo singer Tabby Callaghan (left) will be hoping to put the X into The X factor when he takes to the stage to perform live in front of millions on tomorrow night's ITV show.

Golden guy Tabby will be keeping his fingers crossed that the other finalists in the talent show will be a pale imitation of himself.

And that won't be too hard, for Tabby's been given an all-over body tan courtesy of Sun FX.

The wannabee rockstar, who was once in a band with two members of Westlife, recently fronted an advertising campaign for the fake tan company.

Tabby is currently second favourite to win X Factor, according to bookmakers William Hill.

Although the 23-year-old still keeps in touch with Westlife's Kian Egan and Mark Feehily by text, he says he's too embarrassed to admit the name of the band he played in with them.

He said: "I knew Westlife because I went to school with them. I played in a band with Kian when we were kids.

"We did gigs in a local community hall and our name was so embarrassing I won't even say it.

"I was friendly with Mark as well. We used to play in a rock band together. One day one of the guys turned round to him when he was about 11 and said 'Do you know, you would be great in a boy band'. And look what happened."
